About the Event
Bluesy Mary is a project at the crossroads of the classical and jazz worlds, with the particularity of using songs from the classical repertoire as a starting point. This fusion is made deep and subtle by the link between the playing of famous jazz musicians and the specificities of each classical piece. Thus, for example, Bill Evans' playing is linked to Massenet's "Méditation de Thaïs", Nat King Cole's ballads to Fauré's "Après un rêve". The aim is to make these two worlds accessible to everyone through sounds and themes that are part of the conscious and/or collective unconscious.
The musicians:
Marie Ghitta (alto violin)
Julien Gillain (violin and piano)
Pauline Leblond (trumpet)
Fil Caporali (double bass)
