About the Event
Belgian Fingerprints
For their first major project, Koi Collective commissioned six promising young Belgian composers to write a composition. The project has three different objectives: to give these composers the opportunity to develop,Â
expanding the Belgian repertoire for saxophone and piano and discovering the collective's contemporary style.Â
For 2023, Maarten Vergauwen (sax) and Emmy Wils (piano) will give the honour to six other Belgian composers during a second edition of this unique concept.Â
The composers of the second edition who will give their best at Queens Brussels are F. Libert, L. Denies, M. De Naegel, E. Koçia, S. Thijs and B. Windelinckx.Â
Expect a full evening's programme filled with sparkling contemporary music introduced by the composers themselves.
