About the Event
Tom Bourgeois and Yu-Ting Li met in Brussels through regular musical sessions, and their duo formed very naturally. Following their debut concert in Taiwan in February 2024, they plan to continue their musical journey with a unique concept for their project: "Each concert will be recorded with the intention of creating an album featuring a selection of pieces performed on various pianos in different locations."
Their repertoire consists of original compositions and improvisations, so the music takes on a unique turn each time, depending on the moment and the audience's reaction.
For this concert, they drew inspiration from the current méli-mélo exhibition, showcasing work by Dona' Gillon and Ellen Meers.
Here's what they sounded like at the opening performance of méli-mélo: video.
