TRIO VERTIGE is a new ensemble consisting of Portuguese Hugo Fernandes (cello), Argentine Ariel Rodriguez (piano) and German Falk Grieffenhagen (sax/clarinet). In their project, Vertical Garden, they aim to discover the infinite harmonies of music, balancing between controlled improvisation and instant creation.

They are three very different composers with a background in world music, fado, post-romanticism, jazz, impressionist and electronic music. This project is born from an improvisation session between the three of them.

The project is still in a research phase and in search of the maximum musical amplitude.

They will dive in the second phase of working and research during a residency of fifteen

days in Queens Brussels. The result will be an evening filling program for a diverse audience

interested in multi layered world music.
