About the Event

Queens Brussels wants you to experience music on another level!

Veronika Harcsa (Hungary) and Nora Thiele (Germany) are both exceptional musicians. Expect an interactive concert that will let the audience reconnect with the experience of making sound, as part of the compositions.

Veronika Harcsa is a Hungarian singer/songwriter who has toured around the world. She played with Enrico Pieranunzi, Julia Hülsmann, Jeremy Friedman, Erik Truffaz, Kris Defoort, the Franz Liszt Chamber Music Orchestra, Concerto Budapest and many more. Most recently she worked with Academy Award winner director Jiří Menzel on a dadaist opera production.

Besides her touring career Veronika is currently studying music therapy at the University of Pécs, with the goal of creating an interactive concert experience of a new format, letting the audience reconnect with the joy of making sound, as part of the compositions. Her response to AI is IA – InterAction. A non-digital experience of connecting through music. The project InterAction will debut with Nora Thiele in Queens Brussels.

Nora Thiele is a German multi-instrumentalist, who composes chamber music and incorporates instruments from different cultures. Rhythm and improvisation are the focus in her work. She is considered a pioneer in the frame drum scene and, with her sensitive virtuosity, stands in a tradition lined with Glen Velez and Layne Redmond.

Contemporary composers such as Klaus Huber and Bernd Franke wrote works with symphony orchestra for her. With more than 1000 concerts in Europe, the middle east and China, Nora Thiele has worked with artists such as Cecilia Bartoli, Ensemble Avantgarde, La Folia Baroque Orchestra, Falk Zenker, Lena Chamamyan, Staatstheater Cottbus, and many more. She passes on her holistic teaching to interdisciplinary music students at the Weimar University of Music, as well as in workshops worldwide and master classes.

Don't miss this first-ever concert by two world-class musicians.

For those who wish to immerse themselves in their music before the concert, Veronika and Nora will animate a short workshop. Experience is not required. Registration is not necessary for the workshop, just arrive on time.

After the concert both artists will host a jam session open to the public. Are you a musician? Come join us for an late evening jam session. Instruments already present are the following: a grand piano, an electric piano, bass amplifier, percussion instruments.
